Our mission
Lifespan’s mission is to maximize the health, safety, comfort and independence of older persons in our community by providing home and facility care, geriatric care management, placement assistance, financial management, and telephone reassurance.
Local and accessible
Lifespan is locally owned by the Registered Nurses who founded it. Lifespan personnel are available 24/7 to handle emergencies for Lifespan clients receiving care management services. For home care clients, we are available to support clients and field staff during the hours we are providing home care services. Please contact our office at (831) 469-4900 for more information.
Lifespan and the Cabrillo Nursing Program
Lifespan is recognized as a teaching resource of the Santa Cruz community. For many years, Lifespan RN's have been providing community nursing experience to Cabrillo RN students. These students visit Lifespan to understand the problems and needs of non-institutionalized older persons. The students make home visits with our geriatric care management nurses to assess and plan care for our clients. Cabrillo RN students leave with knowledge of the special care of frail elders. Both the Lifespan staff and the student nurses have been very positive about the community nursing experience.
