Lifespan home care aides are carefully selected following an extensive testing and interview process, which includes reference checks and skill assessment. As of 2016, our hiring process meets all of the requirements of the Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act, which involves fingerprint clearance through both the Department of Justice and FBI and initial and ongoing training.
At Lifespan we offer flexible hours and days, including mornings, mid-day, evening, and overnight shifts. We pay close attention to the character traits that will mean so much in day-to-day interactions with our clients. We’re looking for people who have a caring personality, patience, and a strong work ethic. Lifespan is proud of our team of aides, who are dedicated, experienced, and compassionate.

Lifespan offers personalized care up to 24 hours a day by experienced and registered home care aides. All Lifespan home care aides are trained, bonded, insured, undergo an extensive background check, and are supervised by aging care professionals.
Our professional Care Managers can help you determine how much help will be needed with things like shopping, errands, driving, housekeeping, cooking, bathing, dressing, mobility and medication reminders.
Personal Assistants are skilled caregivers who can benefit clients in a variety of activities, such as socialization, recreation, home organization, and more, including escorting clients to medical appointments. (There is a one-hour minimum for this service.)
All Lifespan employees have passed an in-depth screening process including fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice and the FBI as required by the Home Care Services Bureau of the California Department of Social Services. All employees are also covered by Lifespan’s general liability and worker’s compensation policies.
If you hire someone privately you become the employer. With that, comes payroll taxes, liability risks, staffing responsibilities, and supervision. Not to mention, the state has set up licensing and caregiver registration for the protection of the client and the caregiver. Hiring privately puts all parties at risk. Lifespan takes care of it all. We assess, train, insure and bond all of our employees, and assign staffing managers to coordinate consistent and appropriate staffing.
Lifespan is in full compliance with the 2015 Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act, which specifies that all employees meet the requirements to become Registered Home Care Aides under the auspices of the Home Care Services Bureau of the California Department of Social Services. Our professional staff of registered nurses and social workers supervise our caregivers to ensure optimum care.
